It is a big shame how people can be so cruel and judgmental without giving a second thought that you might be going through hell. As much as quick judgment is of man's nature, we have to know that suffering is not on our wish list; it is something that occurs naturally. Surprising it is persons who have not experienced this scenario that are so quick to rush to judgment. They do not even bother considering that there might be another side of the story apart from what first came to their mind, and they go right ahead to believe it.
For my close friends and family. You already know my diagnosis with a serious health problem. It has taken me and my family quite a lot of time and effort considering if I should say this publicly. Trust me sympathy is the last thing am looking for by revealing this to the public now. The health problem is quite serious because now I can no longer work as I did a while back. It has forced me to change many things in life to an extent that I sometimes think am not in my right senses. Is it life threatening? Yes, it can be. These depend on many things like food, lifestyle, and exercise are just but a few. Do I have the right to privacy? Of course, everyone is entitled to a right to his/her privacy. So my answer is yes. I think that I do. Therefore, I hope that you will accord me all the respect and privacy that I deserve. If it were one of you in my shoes, I would also have respected your privacy as expected. Nevertheless, I appreciate your concern about my progress. But I will appreciate it if you left me in peace to cope with my health situation and put things in order.
I hope this does not sound too cold. But consider this; am I the first human being in the universe diagnosed with a health issue? Obviously, am not. There are many people before me who have been in a similar situation before, and they did not go around seeking sympathy or entertaining self- pity. They just go ahead and live a brave life as they undergo treatment. In fact, most persons diagnosed with a serious problem, just want to keep it as private as possible until its 100% one way or another. So do not blame me for not being so different from them. It is not always comforting having people know that you are a person diagnosed with a health situation. Trust me everything changes from the time you reveal this to them. They now will be giving that eye that everyone thinks it is a sympathetic look, but there is more to it that mere sympathy. They will be looking at you like a man who is about to die 'walking dead' is the best explanation for this. Despite all this, I have my support system with my special friends, and I thank them very much. I also intend to do the same, but this will be difficult if I have to worry about constant pestering from family and friends.
My family and friends are very dear to me and among the people whom I love most. Thank you for understanding where am coming from and giving me guidance and believing in me. You were with me when everything seemed to go smoothly for me and now when things are not quite enough. You are an integral part of my life, and I celebrate you for this. You know true friends when you are in times of need, and I am one of the few people to have such sincere friends. Your love and support go a long way. Long live friends and families.
To my employees: I know we have spent many hours together working. We have made significant milestones and overcome many challenges as well. They helped me to steer my business forward until where it is now, thanks to their expertise, skills, and dedication. Did I tell my employees everything? Hell No, it is none of their business. I was not after their sympathy. I did not hire them to be friends I hired them to do a job. Despite what happens I had to keep things professional. I cannot mix my private life with business. Therefore, I did not consider it important to announce to you the state of my health nor seek your opinion about how I should deal with my situation. I only hope that when it is their turn to be sick, someone will not do this to them. These might sound cruel but, I only hope when it's their turn to be sick someone does not do this to them.
I have no apologies for my employees, co-workers or vendors. My health is my business, if you are reading this then I am sure you feel that your health is not for public gossip. Trust me, the moment you publicly say this story will be on everyone's lips. People will be whispering behind you which is an awful feeling. There is nothing as annoying as becoming a topic of discussion for idle people because they will tend to exaggerate your situation and distort the truth. On the end, it can even taint your reputation. On my part, that is the last thing I would want to happen to me. I expect my employees and all those people I have done business with to focus on more important things other than discuss my health. That is because, anyone can get sick, and when that happens, they have to accept what life throws at them and move on with life. Therefore, I would implore you to desist from prying into my private life and do what they would have wished done to them if the ball was in their court and they are the ones battling a life- threatening disease.
To my clients, we have had long personal conversations about everything with many of them. My customers mean the world to me, and I really appreciate them for trusting me with their Internet needs. In return, I believe I did not disappoint them. As you well know, trust is something that does not come easily. Most of you have been my clients for over seven years, and I feel humbled and grateful for that. When I discovered that I had failing health, I had two choices; to do nothing or to slowly start transferring clients away from me. It breaks my heart to lose such loyal and wonderful customers. But I am obliged to act in the best interest of my clients and not my employees or myself. I must act responsible and professional. God forbid but if something bad were to happen to me, every client I have would lose their domain name, company email, websites, and their Google ranking. That is an undeniable fact. Consequently, your business will be adversely affected since, in this era of the internet, most companies rely on the internet to advertise.
I would have wished to continue providing you the services, but my illness has affected my productivity. I know that I will not be able to serve them as well as before, and I would not allow my health situation to affect their businesses as well. Thus, I am taking a break from my work so that I can concentrate on getting better. I enjoyed doing business with them and appreciate the way you stuck with me through the different stages of the growth of my business. It could have been selfish of me not to consider what could happen to my esteemed clients, the very people who gave me the motivation to wake up in the morning and go to work.
The decision I made took a lot of time, thought, and energy for me to make. I made up my mind to transfer them to other businesses out of the concern I had for their business. I have been in business for a number of years. Therefore, I know that it is not easy to watch what you have worked so hard to build destroyed by someone else. With that in mind, I transferred you to some of the best companies so that your businesses will go on uninterrupted. I could not bear to betray my caring clients after they have been with me for all those years. Therefore, do not worry about the state of your companies because the companies that have succeeded me are of high integrity. Thus, you are in good hands and your digital marketing activities, and e-commerce will go on without any hitches.
Lastly, I hope I have made my point clear about how I would wish everyone that I interact with in one way or another to treat me. We all know that getting sick is something that we do not have control over, and we all want to deal with it the best way we know how. If all of you follow my wishes, I will deeply appreciate it. Let us not take any opportunity to make someone's life miserable. You will agree with me that there is nothing special or strange about being sick. Therefore, I do not see why a person's health should concern anyone besides themselves. I am taking these drastic actions with the best interests of everyone involved, and I would appreciate it if everybody saw things the way I see them. Thank you for hearing me out. If this is not convincing enough, I do not have anything else to say, and I hope that one day you will understand.
Who are you and is this real?
He is trying to sell the cancer angle and has deleted my website.
Asking for a $249 payment to transfer to another hosting company.
Can you provide more specifics?
Thanks
This is all 100% correct. He is calling customers and telling him that he is going in for surgery, and is terminally ill, and does not know if he is going to survive.
He tells them he is closing the company and transferring the hosting over to another company, and charging a fee of somewhere around $250 to $300 to make the transfer (there are no actual costs to him for the transfer). Meanwhile he is collecting a commission from the new hosting company for giving them new accounts. He uses the "I'm dying lie" so the companies feel sorry for him, and do not question having to pay the fee. If you do not pay the fee for the transfer, he will just delete your site.
He stands to make 10's of thousands of dollars by doing this.
If you question any of this, ask him for details about his illness, and listen to him scramble for answers.
This is not the same person who posted above, but somebody else in his office who quit after hearing him make these calls to customers. I felt the need to speak up because his business practices are unethical.
